Health and Nutrition Coordinator

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Health and Nutrition Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the delivery of comprehensive health and nutrition services to Head Start children and families according to Head Start Program Performance Standards.

Position is a full time, salaried position; school-year, 46 weeks. Summers off.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain an accurate and ongoing system for providing and tracking services, including health, dental, hearing, and vision.
• Provide direct health services to children as appropriate.
• Assist staff and families in interpreting screenings/test results and follow up procedures.
• Supervise and evaluate nutrition staff.
• Plans menus and oversees the food service operations, in conjunction with the Kitchen Manager.
• Completes CACFP monitoring at ACHS sites.
• Performs all activities necessary to complete the health and nutrition objectives in the Head Start Program Performance Standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in health, nutrition, or related field. (Required)
• Licensed, at a minimum, as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). (Preferred)
• Prior supervisory experience. (Preferred)
• Must pass required background clearances: PA Child Abuse, PA State Criminal, FBI Fingerprinting, and National Sex Offender Registry
